Enrollment & ABA Therapy Cost/Tuition

Enrollment into Grand Oak Academy is designed to best suit those students who have met pre-learner goals as determined by the ABLLS and/or VB-MAPP assessments. This ensures their success in a 1 to 3 ratio as well as being ready and able to pursue higher academic goals. GOA staff will assess each applicant to determine which Behavior TLC program best fits that student’s needs.

With Behavior TLC as the parent company, Grand Oak Academy private school students have access to full wrap around services. GOA students in the classroom may need some extra one-on-one ABA time outside of class. They may also need an ABA Therapist to come into the classroom occasionally for extra support. Students may need to continue to work on non-academic skills such as tying shoes, dressing, or fine motor skills. All of these needs can be addressed both by BTLC and GOA.

Our intake committee may recommend programs based on their assessment:

• BTLC’s Day Program (1 on 1)

• GOA’s transition service Classroom Connections (1 on 2 )

• GOA classroom (1 on 3)

Enrollment for the 2018-2019 school year will be open to students ages 4- 12 years old (Pre-K to Fifth Grade) on the first day of school.

Enrollment Process:

Enrollment, Tuition and Assessment information for getting into Grand Oak Academy
  1. Contact Behavior TLC at 281-461-6888 to schedule a tour with our Grand Oak Academy intake team.
  2. At intake, we will discuss your family’s goals and needs. Then, schedule your student’s assessment.
  3. There are pre-determined criteria that must be mastered in order to be considered for enrollment in GOA:
    • ABLLS (Assessment of Basic Language and Learning Skills)
    • VB-MAPP (Verbal Behavior Milestones Assessment and Placement Program)
This insures that our students are likely to be successful in a 1 to 3 ratio as well as are surrounded by peers with similar skill sets for social development.
  4. Assessment can take anywhere from 3-12 hours to complete. Once finished, another parent meeting will be scheduled to review the results. We will then give you our recommendations on which program best suits your student’s needs:
    • BTLC Day Program
    • BTLC Club TLC
    • GOA Classroom Connections
    • GOA full day
  5. During the assessment process and continuing on through the student’s enrollment, functional behavior assessments can be conducted whenever needed.
  6. Also during this process a Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP) may be created if needed. The goal is to reduce behaviors during the class day as well as through parent training.
  • All tuition rates are based on a 200-day, year-round school year.
  • Tuition may be paid in full or spread out into monthly payments. Tuition can be prorated to the month the student enrolls, we will not prorate to days or for absences or tardiness. Part-time enrollment is not currently offered unless in the Classroom Connections Transition Phase.
